What would you like to know about electric transport?

Electric cars and transport are a hot topic at this point in our lives and most of us have questions we’d like answered before spending any hard-earned cash. With so much chat on the internet it’s hard for us to know what to believe and what to file under ‘fake news.’

That’s why on Sunday 11th September we’re transforming part of North Beach to showcase some of the innovative, sustainable electric transport available today from our island’s stockists.

Here to answer your questions, this free event will be a unique opportunity to meet local businesses at the forefront of more sustainable transport. This will be alongside the GSPCA’s Seafront Sunday so while you’re there, pop by North Beach and find out something worth your while.

This is the first Electric Transport showcase of its kind and we’ve asked as many local businesses and organisations as possible to come together to tell you more about what’s happening right now.

Electric Boats

Electric Transport is all well and good, but it needs a supportive infrastructure and renewable power source to really be our future choice for transport.

That’s why Guernsey Electricity will also be there to answer your questions about the charging infrastructure, where our electricity comes from, plans for a cleaner future, and more.

Quick tip – charge when the grid is cleanest and cheapest. In Guernsey, that just means switching on between 9pm and 5am. And for 100% renewable power, set the timers to come on between 11pm and 5am.
